Two debates featuring run-off Democratic candidates for U.S. Congress are scheduled for Wednesday and Monday, courtesy of KARK-Channel 4.

On Wednesday, June 6 at noon, First District Democrats Scott Ellington and Clark Hall will square off. The 30-minute debate will be moderated by Channel 4 anchorman Bob Clausen.

Ellington led the ballot on May 22, but did not secure more than 50% of the vote. Hall placed second in the race. The winner of the June 12 run-off will face incumbent Republican Cong. Rick Crawford and Green Party nominee Jacob Holloway.

On Monday, June 11 at noon, Fourth District Democrats Gene Jeffress and Q. Byrum Hurst will meet for a debate. Channel 4 anchorwoman Jessica Dean will moderate the exchange.

Jeffress led the ticket on election night with Hurst trailing by nearly 7 points.  The winner faces Republican nominee Tom Cotton, Green Party candidate Joshua Drake, and Libertarian nominee Bobby Tullis.

The format will allow for questions from the debate moderators, a period for candidates to ask each other a question, and viewer questions via social media.
