Arkansas Children’s Hospital Opens $121 Million Wing
Arkansas Children's Hospital opened a new $121 million wing that will ultimately add 100 new medical professionals to the hospital’s staff.
Nathan Vandiver with our content partner, KUAR-FM 89 News, reports:
Children’s Hospital cut the ribbon on its largest ever expansion project Wednesday morning.
The pediatric hospital’s 258,000 square-foot “South Wing” adds 54 inpatient beds to the campus. The addition brings a new emergency department, updates
for cardiovascular and neonatal intensive care units and five new outpatient clinics.
Hospital officials say the project cost $121 million and was paid for with the hospital’s savings, donations and a bond issued in 2009.
