Sparks names new chief financial officer

Richard Boone, the associate administrator for Sparks Health System, has been promoted to chief financial officer for Sparks.
Sparks is owned by Naples, Fla.-based Health Management Associates.
Boone has been in the healthcare field for more than 20 years since receiving his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Southern Mississippi. Before he joined Sparks, he was CEO at Summit Regional Medical Center in Van Buren for four years, he worked with health management in operations/finance for 10 years and he worked with Humana for six years.
Former Sparks Chief Financial Officer Darrell Hardy is relocating to Oklahoma City, where he will work as chief financial officer for Health Management’s Group 3 Western Division.
