New GRIT Awards Handed Out

For those who might’ve missed this, the Fort Smith Convention & Visitors Bureau presented its new GRIT (Giving Recognition in Tourism) Awards on April 18 to people and businesses who’ve helped promote the city.

The awards, by category, went to:

• Restaurant partner of the year: Taliano’s Italian Restaurant;

• Lodging partner of the year: Holiday Inn City Center;

• Attraction partner of the year: Clayton House;

• Business partner of the year: Forward Fort Smith; and

• Polly Crews Hospitality Person of the Year: (tie) Ben and Jennifer Boulden and Bert Wright.
