KFSM expands news and weather coverage on new station KXNW

FAYETTEVILLE — Management, staff and friends of KFSM-TV, Channel 5, snipped the ribbon Thursday (April 12) on Northwest Arkansas’ newest television station, KXNW-TV, Channel 34, at the Northwest Arkansas Mall.
Working in collaboration with the staff at 5NEWS, KXNW adds two new newscasts. Additional broadcasts include one at 7 a.m. weekdays anchored by Kumasi Aaron and meteorologist Jason Adams and one at 9 p.m. daily anchored by Ashley Ketz and chief meteorologist Garrett Lewis on weekdays and Allison Woods and meteorologist Joe Pennington on weekends.
In addition to extra news and weather coverage, KXNW has the area’s only sports call-in show, Sportsline with John Engleman and Mike Irwin, and a news magazine show featuring a partnership with The City Wire.
