Fashion Philanthropy Nets More $30,000
The organizers of NWA Fashion Week report last month’s event raised $33,515 for local charities.
Jade Terminella, who organized the event along with Danielle Vaughn, said proceeds from ticket sales to the event will be divided among seven nonprofits: the NWA Childrens Shelter, 7 Hills Homeless Center, Spay Arkansas, the Single Parent Scholarship Fund, the American Cancer Society, Art Amiss and Restore Humanity.
Ticket buyers could choose which of the charities their money went to. The children’s shelter garnered the most — $7,042.
Boutiques that took part in the five-day event included Savoir Faire, Masons, By Request, Lola, She Said Yes, 3 Monkeys Children’s, Bach Clothiers, Riff Raff and MACA Clothe.
Sponsors of the event, which Terminella said she and Vaughn plan to repeat next year, included Volkswagen of Northwest Arkansas, Sign Planet, County Line Liquor, L’Oreal Paris USA, Mertins Eye Care, DR Design Firm and Goddard Design Group.
