FORT SMITH — The Greater Fort Smith Council of Garden Clubs will conduct a standard flower show as part of the Fort Smith Lawn and Garden Show this weekend, (March 24-25) at the Fort Smith Convention Center.

The standard flower show’s theme is "Country Living with Urban Gardens.” Anyone can enter the horticulture section; entries are due by 3 p.m. the day before the show starts.

Branches on trees or shrubs can be no more than 18 to 30 inches for standard and 6 to 12 inches for dwarf varieties. There will also be a section for oversized pots.
Members of local garden clubs can enter designs to be judged by certified flower show judges. Patrons of the show will vote for a “People’s Choice Award.”

The show runs 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 1-5 p.m. on Sunday.
