Arvest Bank in Prairie Grove promotes Hooten

Arvest Bank announced the promotion of Malia Hooten to assistant vice president and consumer lender in Prairie Grove.

Hooten, previously a loan assistant for 16 years with Arvest Bank, is moving into the position vacated by Rick Burden, who retired on March 1. Hooten reports to Steve Purdy, executive vice president and loan manager at Arvest Bank in Prairie Grove.

“Malia has a wonderful history with us here at Arvest Bank,” said Purdy. “She embodies Arvest Bank commitment to customer service and we are pleased to continue working with her. ”

Hooten began her banking career in March of 1988 at First State Bank of Springdale where she worked as a teller, teller supervisor and branch manager before she left in 1995.

She graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1976 and lives in Prairie Grove with her husband, Bill Hooten. The couple has three children, Josh, Courtnee and Gatlin, and three grandchildren, Meredith, Kade and Brooklyn.

Arvest Bank operates more than 230 bank branches in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas.
