NWABJ Hosts Annual Sustainability Awards
The Northwest Arkansas Business Journal recognized some of the area’s top environmentally conscious businesses, groups and individuals Oct. 18 at its fourth annual Greenest Office and Sustainability Awards.
About 50 people attended the event, which was held at the Bentonville Plaza and presented by CaseStack Inc. of Fayetteville.
Winners and their categories included:
• Waste Management of Rogers for Greenest Office
• Procter & Gamble of Fayetteville for Greenest Supplier
• Mikel Lolley of Fayetteville as a Sustainability Champion
• SphereAcccess of Bentonville for the Collaboration Award
• NWA Emerging Leaders of Rogers for Greenest Initiative.
Michelle Halsell was the event’s keynote speaker. Halsell is the managing director of the Applied Sustainability Center in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas.
Halsell’s presentation was titled “Leadership Lessons for Sustainability.”
This year’s winners were also featured in a special sustainability edition of the Business Journal published Oct. 17.
