Liquor World Accepts 2010 Leaders Award
Liquor World owner Kent Starr and general manager Kim Crawford recently accepted a 2010 Leaders Award “for excellence in beverage alcohol retailing” at the St. Regis Hotel in New York City.
As we understand it, this is the alcoholic beverage industry equivalent of the Academy Awards. We’re assuming that’s minus George Clooney or Penelope Cruz, of course.
Nonetheless, the pair’s trip marks the first time anyone from Northwest Arkansas has been invited to participate in the “Leaders” issue of Market Watch, a trade magazine for the liquor industry. Market Watch is produced by New York-based M. Shanken Communications Inc., which also publishes consumer mags like Wine Spectator and Cigar Aficionado.
