Saving Paws

Ahimsa Rescue Foundation (ARF), a 501(c)3 organization, is dedicated to saving animals from abuse and homelessness in eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas. The Foundation rescues and adopts approximately 150 animals annually to approved homes. ARF recently embarked on an exciting project to renovate a former nursing home into an animal rescue, sanctuary and adoption facility, providing a safe haven for homeless animals for years to come. Saving Paws is a benefit slated Oct. 8 in Fort Smith to raise funds for the project. The fundraiser will feature the Chris Cameron Band, comedian Doug Shadell and magician Joey Williams. The award-winning Ralph’s Pink Flamingo BBQ will cater the food. Casual dress is suggested. Tickets are $50. Table sponsorships are $500 (table of eight).
