Cravings could become big business
Everybody has cravings, but satisfying them isn’t always easy.
That’s the idea behind a pending social media enterprise from Josh Clemence and Kami Duck, a couple of twentysomething entrepreneurial types. Their venture, crav, is part Facebook, part search engine and part customer-review site.
At least that’s what we think.
Because the idea is still in the formative stages, some details remain unaddressed. Basically, though, users – who can register for free – will post their cravings, then get not only a list of “venues” that might be able to satisfy the craving, but responses from “friends” who have had similar cravings.
To date, the crav group has data for 12 million “venues” throughout the U.S., and a test run using local businesses is coming soon. The hope is to launch in July.
Revenue will be generated from advertising, but also by providing “venues” with data based on user posts. Stay tuned.
