Introduction to Disaster Services provides basic information on the services we provide during times of disaster (both locally and nationally). This course is brief, but is required for any volunteer.

Psychological First Aid; Helping Others in times of Stress
This course will help you recognize and respond to people who need help because they are feeling stress, resulting from a disaster situation. The purpose of this course is to enable you to provide basic care, comfort, and support to people experiencing disaster related stress.

Serving People with Disabilities will help you when responding to special populations during times of disaster. This course will give you practical suggestions on things to say and do to provide comfort and support to citizens with special needs during stressful times.

These courses and lunch are graciously provided through a grant our chapter received from the WalMart Foundation for disaster preparedness.
