Thor adds new weapon system to inventory

Van Buren-based Thor Global Defense Group has announced it will offer an exclusive rifle system manufactured by Hurricane, Utah-based EDM Arms.
The long-range shooting XM .408 series has an estimated range of up to 1.6 miles, although exact details of the weapon remain confidential. Thor plans to sell the high-powered rifle to existing high-end weapons dealers and military and law enforcement groups.
“In today’s ever intensifying political climate, demands for higher performance weapon systems are more present than ever. Soldiers require platforms that are easy to maintain and produce accurate and reliable results,” Thor noted in a statement.
The weapon were shipped with “Thor Global Defense Group” markings beginning Aug. 1.
