More Kum & Go Stores Coming
Between sky-high prices and credit card fees, it’s often difficult for gas stations to make any money selling, well, gasoline. But that hasn’t slowed convenience store giant Kum & Go, which has 445 locations throughout 13 states in the middle part of the country, employs more than 3,600 people and has annual sales of more than $1.5 billion.
We’ve noticed the proliferation of the stores in Rogers, Springdale and Lowell, in addition to the one on Hudson Road in Rogers.
Looks like there are more on the way. Kum & Go recently closed the deal on a 1.5-acre spot on the northwest corner of Moberly Lane and 28th Street in Bentonville. Construction on the store should be under way by the end of the year.
Two more Kum & Go locations are most likely set for Springdale and Lowell. Pending approval, construction of those stores will be start toward the end of this year or early in 2009.
