Eureka Developer Set to Sell Properties

There’s at least one voice of economic optimism coming out of the woods over in Carroll County.

Joe McClung, a 38-year veteran Realtor in Eureka Springs and owner of two hotels there tells us people are starting to look at investment opportunities in his town.

“People are snooping again,” he said.

It’s all part of the “buy low, sell high” philosophy he said, so there is at least movement where previously there had been near none.

McClung was set to close on one of his own properties – a 200-seat restaurant on 2 acres – on July 25. He co-owned the space with his brother and the pair had it on the market for seven years, he said. It was leased most of that time, but not for one day in the last year. If all goes well, the two will collect the $450,000 asking price and invest in more Eureka moments.
