While other students at the University of North Texas were enjoying care packages of cookies and cards, Joshua Mostyn was pouring over the Northwest Arkansas market reports from his mother.

Mostyn’s dream was to develop real estate and he wasted no time in pursuing his goal.

After graduating with a degree in finance, Mostyn worked with Citi Group in Dallas for about a year before he made his way to Northwest Arkansas where he worked for Regions Bank as a commercial loan officer. There he counted some of the area’s most well known names among his clients.
It was those same clients that later presented Mostyn with the opportunity to go into business for himself in real estate.

Mostyn started Pinnacle Hills Office Suites LLC and later opened the Broughton Damron & Lloyd LLP collection agency in Rogers.

In 2007 he became a member of the Lower 40 Partners, a group dedicated to the redevelopment of Eighth Street in Rogers.

Mostyn, 29, said every professional move he’s made has been to help him succeed in the real estate industry.

To help other professionals network, he started the Northwest Arkansas Young Professionals in 2005, and in 2007 started the Northwest Arkansas chapter of the Arkansas Young Republicans.

Mostyn advises people to “stay out of the gray area altogether.”
