Joel Sanders, 23, didn’t wait for a college diploma to start his career in the real estate industry.

During the summer of his sophomore year of college, Sanders earned his real estate license and began selling real estate with Allred Properties in Fayetteville while still attending the University of Arkansas as a full-time student.

The North Little Rock native sold more than $7 million in residential and investment properties during his time at the UA.

In May 2007, the day after receiving his degree, Sanders went to work for Colliers International as an associate broker.

Later that year, Sanders was chosen to lead Colliers’ new statewide multi-family advisory group. In April he earned his CCIM designation, making him one of the youngest CCIM designees in the country.

Sanders often works with people twice his age, and admits age has been a hurdle, but his knowledge of the industry and his drive for success has helped him become a player in the Northwest Arkansas commercial market.
Sanders said he isn’t big on setting benchmarks for himself but he does have one overall career goal: cover as much distance as possible, as quickly as possible, while maintaining the highest quality of work.

“I want to be the go-to guy for apartments,” Sanders said.
