The Northwest Arkansas Science Museum, a vision of the late John Lewis, continues to move forward. The latest development is the hiring of Fayetteville firms TaylorMack Advertising and DOXA.

TaylorMack will handle public relations and Web site development while DOXA will be the brand identity consultant.

Since approving its business plan on May 25, just a week before Lewis passed away and just more than three years after the idea began evolving, the Museum project has kept pushing ahead.

Brent Robinson has been named acting executive director and the Museum Foundation is now in the site selection process.

The goal is to build a “world class” science museum to Northwest Arkansas that is both inspiring and a perfect fit for the area’s emerging reputation as a center of sustainability.

To date, the Foundation has raised more than $565,000 to fund museum industry and sustainability research, business plan development and site selection.

Once a site is selected, the Foundation will seek a permanent director and an architect, followed by a capital campaign to raise funds for construction and operations.
