In our Nov. 5 issue, our chart of Fayetteville beer sales revealed Wedington Liquor ranked No. 3 during 2006 with $999,442 in gross sales.
That kind of traffic has made for a major headache at its corner location at Wedington Drive and Shiloh Drive with no left-turn lane and dangerous exits.
That congestion should ease soon. Permit records show Wedington Liquor owner Helen Srygley will be moving the store across Wedington into the new shopping center being developed by Sam Mathias just east of the Harps grocery store.
With all the fuss liquor store owners made about traffic the Sam’s Club liquor store will draw being adjacent to the Sam’s warehouse, it seems like Srygley figured out the next best thing.
