Anders Group Earns FedEx Award, $1.4M
They knew the company’s existing clients would still need printing work, so they met with Arvest Bank at 4 p.m. one day, presented their business plan and had what they needed the next day.
“Our banking relationship allowed us to not miss a beat with our customers’ needs and show that this transition from our old company to Anders Group was truly seamless,” Rick Anders said.
The new company, Anders Group Inc., wasted no time in meeting its customers’ needs for graphic design, printed materials, custom promotional items and other printing-related services. The company’s sales figures through the third quarter were about $1.4 million. Anders projects sales figures for the year will be about $2 million.
Anders Group retained nearly 95 percent of the 400 clients from the previous company, with an active client list of about 250, Rick Anders said.
Those clients range in size from someone needing a box of business cards to corporate giants like FedEx, which recently honored Anders Group with its “Diverse Supplier of the Year” award.
Anders was pleasantly surprised when he heard FedEx chose Anders Group and 16 others from the more than 10,000 suppliers it does business with.
Because Anders had always had a good relationship with Harrison-based American Freightways – which FedEx acquired in 2001 – his new company was kept in the loop.
Maintaining good business relationships with companies both large and small has been integral to Anders Group’s success.
“But they still have high expectations, and you still have to deliver,” he said.
