KHBS/KHOG Resume Cox as Digital Carrier

Nearly a year after KHBS/KHOG-TV, Channels 40/29, the Fort Smith and Fayetteville ABC affiliate, announced its digital high definition signal would not be carried by Cox Communications, the two entities struck an agreement.
The signal, technically called KHBS/KHOG-DT, Channels 15/21 was revoked from broadcast by the affiliate’s corporate owner, Hearst-Argyle Television Inc., on Oct. 1, 2006.
“We’re pleased to have our digital signal back on the Cox system and to be able to provide our award-winning local programs and network programming to our valued viewers who are Cox subscribers,” said Jim Prestwood, KHBS/KHOG president and general manager in a press release.
