Ogden Nod

Many may remember the October news that Gregg Ogden, chairman and CEO of Athletic World Advertising Inc. in Fayetteville, had joined the Sam’s Club division of Bentonville-based Wal-Mart Stores Inc. to serve as the vice president of membership services.
An anonymous fax came into the Business Journal on Dec. 19, it read:
“To Whom It May Concern:
Mr. Ogden is off to an UNBELIEVABLE start! It has not taken him long to work his magic. He is going to make GREAT things happen at Sam’s Club and we are all behind him!”
Ogden continues to serve as chairman of AWA, which employs about 300 people and has annual revenue of about $17 million. The day-to-day management has been turned over to company President Mark McQueen.
