Within days of announcing its 2007 Home and Garden Show would be moving to the Hammons Convention Center in Rogers, more than 110 sponsors had signed up for the 16th annual event that’s hosted by the Northwest Arkansas Home Builders Association.
“Only about 15 percent of the building is left,” said Jan Skopecek, NWABA executive director.
The NWABA, a not-for-profit organization for building industry professionals, has about 70,000 SF of the building reserved for the event, which will be March 2-4.
National Home Center is the presenting sponsor this year. Rideout Lumber Co. and Centurian Stone are bronze sponsors. Capital Structures, Latco, Lighting Inc., Metro Building Supply and Backyard Designs have reserved some of the bigger spaces for the event.
In previous years, the event was held at The Holiday Inn and Convention Center in Springdale, the University of Arkansas’ Tyson Indoor Track Center, the old Wal-Mart building on West 6th Street in Fayetteville and Love Box Co. in Springdale.
Last year the event drew 8,000 people. Skopocek hopes to attract 15,000 this year after “bringing it to more of a central location.”
