The way people look for new homes is about to change.
Tim Lee, president of Revolution Technologies LLC in Rogers, develops glossy Web designs for Realtors and developers using his own Web application IDX Pro 2.5.
Most of his clients are in Arkansas, but he also serves Tennessee and North Carolina. Lee’s Web sites have attracted 2.7 million users, browsing nearly 66 million pages of real estate properties since the beginning of the year.
But now he’s ready to reveal his next project. Code name — MarketPRO 3.0.
Lee has dreamed for three years of taking a product national. That dream is about to come true with MarketPRO 3.0 hitting the market before year’s end.
The leap between 2.0 and 3.0, Lee said, is like going from the minor leagues to the majors.
MarketPro 3.0 will place more tools at the fingertips of house hunters with the idea of making the experience easier.
One of the new features is called I-Plats, allows users to browse subdivision plats.
“Instead of searching by just town, price and property type these days, we’re seeing a change and we’re trying to change the way people can search,” Lee said. “You can actually go to the Web site and look for lifestyle, community, neighborhood – and then find a house within that lifestyle and neighborhood that you want.”
The feature allows you to view plats with linked detailed information. A viewer can see the shape and size of the plat, as well as amenities of the subdivision. A map can also show the reader where nearby shopping centers, schools or police departments are located.
Another new feature Lee is proud to offer is the Email Marketer. Realtors can use this to take communication to a new level.
House hunters, can be notified each time the type of house they are looking for becomes available, so they can hurry with an offer.
“As soon as they put anything on the market like this, I’ll be able to get a text message on my phone, I’m going to get an email,” Lee said. “I’m going to get notification so when it hits the market, I can be one of the first people to find out.”
After the customer has purchased a home, Realtors can stay in contact, offering timely advice.
“The Web site will send out quarterly information to all their home buyers, saying ‘It’s now spring, it’s time to change your air filters, clean your gutters,'” Lee said.
Lee also said the Web sites are user friendly because people can search for homes anonymously. No registration is required.
Aaron Nickell, owner of Aaron Nickell Homes Inc., will have the first Web site to feature MarketPro 3.0. The new site will be up by early December.
“We have seen the trends over the last several years that indicate that Internet sales and leads are the way of the future,” Nickell said.
“We understand that consumers are on the cutting edge and our new Web site will not only meet those needs but add enhanced lines of communication for today’s busy world.”
