Internet Indicators Show Sky Not Falling
Revolution Technologies LLC of Rogers is seeing strong indicators that the real estate market may be on the upswing.
The company develops and manages Web sites for Northwest Arkansas real estate agents and companies.
Tim Lee, president of the company, said the data that tracks the number of visitors shows a rise in interest in area real estate.
In fact, more of RT’s Web pages were viewed (7.66 million) in September than in any other month this year.
There also were 206,640 visits to local Web sites with each averaging more than 25 pages viewed per visit.
There were more than 10 million “hits” on the sites in August and nearly 80 million hits in the first 277 days of 2006.
“The sky is not falling,” Lee said. “I’m seeing traffic go back up and when that happens, it’s going to reflect positively in sales the following month. In other words, research from the previous month affects next month’s closings.
“It always does,” Lee said.
According to Revolution’s data, more than 200,000 pages are viewed by an average of nearly 8,300 people each day.
Revolution provides a direct integration into the Multi-Listing Service, which accounts for all of the listings in the area, with the exception of homes that are for sale by owner. It’s updated every 60 minutes with tools such as price change alerts.
