The University of Arkansas and Cox Sports Television announced an agreement on Dec. 14. The network will televise at least seven Razorback sporting events, produce a new monthly news magazine, called “Hog Tales” and rebroadcast three weekly and monthly coach’s shows (“The Huston Nutt Show,” “Fast Break with Stan Heath” and “Lady Razorback TV”).

Matt Shanklin, assistant athletic director for marketing and licensing at UA, said there is no money involved in the deal, but CST will pay the production costs of “Hog Tales.” The arrangement will give television coverage of events that might not otherwise merit broadcasting.

CST is a 24-hour regional sports network with about 1.5 million subscribers from Texas to Florida. The network has similar agreements with the Louisiana State University and Texas A&M University.
