D-G E-mail Updates Say Very Little (Outtakes Opinion)

We signed up for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette’s online news updates but have been disappointed with their content. The D-G gives readers the first three or four paragraphs of the story, then states “Read tomorrow’s Arkansas Democrat-Gazette for full details.”

If it’s breaking news, we will have read it somewhere else or watched it on the evening news long before the D-G arrives a day later. Instead of providing any real news to its online subscribers, the D-G basically uses the e-mail alerts to try to sell its next-day newspaper.
