Grub?s, Fuzzy?s, Jerry?s Have Not Closed

A letter published in The Morning News on May 31 erroneously stated that Grub’s Bar & Grille, Fuzzy’s Restaurant and Jerry’s Homestyle Cooking, all in Fayetteville, had closed. All three restaurants are still open and operating as usual.
The letter writer said Fayetteville’s smoking ban had “killed” several restaurants, including Ozark Brewing Co. and Cafe Santa Fe. Those two restaurants were struggling for months if not years before closing soon after the smoking ban took effect in March.
So far, restaurants as a whole have been prospering since the ban (see item above).
