Cooper Land Development Inc. of Rogers, a subsidiary of Cooper Communities Inc. of Rogers, plans to build a $309 million residential and golf course development called Creekmoor in Raymore, Mo. The town is just south of Kansas City, a new territory for Cooper.

“We’re new to the area, but not to the market, due to our long history of offering a quality, country club lifestyle to residents who own homes and properties in our other communities, most notably Bella Vista Village,” said John A. Cooper, president of Cooper Communities, in a released statement.

When Cooper Communities opened its first development in Bella Vista in 1965, Carol Richards, director of marketing for Cooper Land Development, said one of its target markets was the greater Kansas City area.

The 991-acre project includes an 18-hole golf course and 116-acre lake. There will be 851 single-family homes, 229 patio homes and 222 two-family homes and 126 multi-family units.

Cooper Communities owns and manages more than 3.5 million SF of commercial property and has built more than 11,000 homes in Arkansas.
