The Downtown Dickson Enhancement Project is looking for businesses to sponsor 75 banners on new light polls along Fayetteville’s Dickson Street.

The 18- by 36-inch banners, which are being designed by DOXA Total Design Strategy of Fayetteville, will have Dickson Street activities as a theme. Some will feature retail businesses. One planned banner has a fork, spoon and knife on it and the word “savor” to promote area restaurants. Sponsors will have their name at the bottom of the banners but will not be able to alter design of the banners.

Prices range from $382.50 per year for DDEP members for banners on polls between College and Block avenues to $1,000 per year for a prime location at the intersection of Dickson and West streets.

Bootsie Ackerman, director of the DDEP, said Pettus Law Firm, Dickson Street Book Exchange, Dickson Street Liquor and E.B. Landwork had sponsored banners as of mid January.
