rNancy Weidman opened Weidman Counseling in early spring with the mission of helping others.r

Offering mental health counseling for children and adults, Weidman specializes in grievance counseling, child sexual abuse, and adult survivor sexual abuse. r

Weidman, a Licensed Certified Social Worker, has worked with victims of domestic and sexual abuse for 35 years. Weidman was the executive director of the Childrens Safety Center in Springdale for three years. Her frustrations trying to find children appropriate counseling led her into private practice.r

Weidman is steadily gaining patients through physician referrals and patient word of mouth. r

Weidman, who charges a standard fee of $90 an hour, is a Medicaid and Medicare provider. r

Weidman Counseling is housed in a renovated, 1,100-SF home in the heart of Rogers. The building contains three other offices. Currently, Weidman shares her office space with Shirley Sutton LPC, but has no expansion plans. r

Weidman Counseling was personally financed by Weidman. Her startup costs were nearly $6,000. r
