Todd and Nickki Golden planned to opened Mermaids Seafood Restaurant on Nov. 10 in the 2,900-SF building at 1815 Green Acres Road in Fayetteville that previously housed a Pizza Inn restaurant.r

The Goldens had operated Belvedere’s, a 2,400-SF fine-dining Italian restaurant in Fayetteville, for 13 years. They sold Belvedere’s a month ago to Dennis and Darlene Charlebois of Huntsville, who also own Flapjacks Restaurant in Springdale and previously owned Darlene’s restaurant in Eureka Springs.r

“I’m going to be enhancing the menu,” Dennis Charlebois said of Belvedere’s. “The only changes in the regular menu are going to be some expanded lunch and dinner specials. I’m not going to be taking anything off the menu.”r

Todd Golden said Mermaids will primarily serve seafood but the menu will also include steaks, pasta and other dishes, but no Italian food.r
