Elder Flexes Duplexes

Chris Elder, owner of Elder Construction Company Inc. in Springdale, is building a new subdivision off of U.S. Highway 71 on County Line Road in Springdale. He recently got a $1.4 million loan from First Federal Bank of Arkansas in Harrison for part of the construction.r

He plans to get started in early December. Elder purchased the 17 acres from Fox Field LLC, of which Devon Ross is a member, for $1.3 million in October.r

The 55-lot Fox Field development will have one duplex per 0.12-acre lot.r

Elder Construction will build the duplexes, which will range from 1,100-1,400 SF in size and $140,000-$175,000 in value. The units will be for sale or lease.r
