Forty Under 40: Lance Weatherton
Lance Weatherton, 33, grew up in Little Rock and graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1993 with a bachelors degree in architecture.
After graduation, he worked for Cromwell Architects Engineers as a project manager for seven years. Weatherton started with Miller Boskus Lack Architects in 2000 and has been a project manager there ever since. He specifically works with the construction administration end of projects, working very closely with the general contractor in addition to setting up initial client contacts.
His client list includes the Frank Fletcher Honda dealership and the new Shogun restaurant in Bentonville.
Weatherton has volunteered for the American Heart Association for three years and is on the Paint the Town Red Committee.
He also coaches an age 10-and-under soccer team.
When asked what he likes best about his job he said:
Whether it is the heart association, the soccer team or the people in my office, teamwork is why I get to do what I do and enjoy the job, Weatherton said. If it wasnt fun, I wouldnt be doing what I am doing.
