Brewski’s Restaurant & Draft Emporium

One of our favorite extracurricular stops is Brewski’s Restaurant & Draft Emporium. Yes, we like the food and large selection of beverages, but our main reason for continually going back is the friendly staff.

Good food only goes so far if the service is poor or given without a smile. And average food seems to taste a little better with good service. The management at Brewski’s either trained well, hired well or did both at the Dickson Street location.

On this particular lunch outing four of our staff members went to Brewski’s.

Three of our diners are convinced Brewski’s hamburger is among the best in town, although on this day the food seemed to be a little on the dry side.

“Maybe it was the fact that I didn’t have my usual glass of Guinness Stout to go with it like I do in the evening,” said one diner, who had a hamburger ($5). “It wasn’t bad, but I’ve eaten there several times before, and it’s usually great.”

The same diner had a mild complaint regarding his chips and salsa. “I love it,” he said, “but they put too many of those red chips in it. I had to eat around them.”

Actually, that worked out nicely for another of our diners because he prefers the red chips.

That diner had the Chicken Dale Sandwich ($7) with fries. It was a very filling lunch item that was good, but again, could have been juicier. He enjoyed the fries as well and said they were not too greasy.

Another coworker had pepperoni pizza ($7.50). He called it “good” but said it didn’t compare to the burgers he’s had there in the past. In fact, he went as far as to say Brewski’s cheeseburgers were “the best in Northwest Arkansas.” He also commented on the friendliness of the staff.

Yet another diner had the Fried Chicken Club sandwich ($8.50) with fries. It came with lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, pepper bacon and chicken.

“It was a really big sandwich, a little dry, but crisp and warm,” said the diner. She also labeled the fries as “fabulous.”

“They make everything on order, so you never get prefab food,” she said.
