Frank Energy Talk
Coordinated Environmental Control Inc. (Coenco), the Fayetteville climate-control systems manufacturer owned by Frank Siccardi, has impressed the University of Arkansas’ head Hog.
Athletic director J. Frank Broyles said he’s giving “careful consideration” to outfitting Walton Arena with some of Coenco’s Real Air Movers. After visiting Coenco’s Fayetteville headquarters for a demonstration, Broyles called several Wal-Mart Stores around the country to ask how the systems worked in their warehouses.
Coenco sells its Positive Air Systems in 30 states and is a major vendor to Wal-Mart Stores Inc., Tyson Foods Inc. and Transplace.com Inc. Broyles said he got several good reports.
“[Siccardi] has convinced me he can save us a lot of money,” Broyles said.
Apparently Walton Arena’s heating bills have been a tad high this winter. Broyles said Coenco’s system, which costs between six and seven figures, can be shut off by game time so any background noise won’t be a factor.
