Lyndy Lindsey said putting golf courses and apartment complexes together is like building a puzzle. And at the rate he’s going, it looks like he’s got it all figured out.

Lindsey, 33, has designed more than 20 courses in six states – Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, Texas and Tennessee. A former tight end for the Arkansas Razorbacks football team, he has spent the last decade developing his niche for intertwining golf courses around apartments.

“I love every bit of it,” Lindsey said. “Basically, I’ve been given the freedom to lay out the buildings and the golf course. Every time we do a new one I feel like it’s gonna be the best one we’ve done yet.”

His courses have ranged from 18-hole layouts, to nine-hole executive courses and the Par-3 variety. Most of them are maintained in a country club manner. In Northwest Arkansas, Lindsey designed Lost Springs Golf & Athletic Club in Rogers and the Par-3 courses in Fayetteville, Lowell, Fort Smith and Harrison. He has another in the plans for Bentonville.

All of Lindsey’s links have Lindsey-managed apartment complexes bordering them. The courses have numerous amenities, including pro shops, tennis courts, pools and maintenance buildings.
