Frank Fletcher Daewoo officially opened Jan. 8 with about 50 of the Korean-made vehicles on the Rogers lot.

The dealership opened next door to Frank Fletcher Chrysler Dodge on U.S. Highway 71 in a location that previously sold used cars for the company.

Sheldon Buter-baugh, sales manager for Frank Fletcher Chrysler Dodge, said Daewoo has three lines of cars that retail for $12,000 to $20,000 each. “There’s a lot of demand for a lower-priced car,” he said.

Superior Automotive Group in Fayetteville is the only other Daewoo dealership in northwest Arkansas.

Fletcher has eight new-car dealerships and one used-car lot in Arkansas.

The Northwest Arkansas Business Journal listed Fletcher Automotive Group as the third-largest automobile business in northwest Arkansas with revenue of about $60 million from its northwest Arkansas stores in 1999.
