To top off the schedule for 2001, Mike Jeffcoat recently purchased a restaurant building in Springdale. Formerly a Chinese restaurant, the building on 8th Street will harbor an unnamed national pizza chain that will be managed by a franchisee from Russellville.
About $200,000, lent by the Bank of Rogers, will cover the purchase and renovation expenses, Jeffcoat said. The restaurant could be open for business as early as March.
