Lazenby projects abundant in area
Bill Lazenby of Lazenby Construction on Aug. 24 secured a loan of $539,200 from McIlroy Bank & Trust of Fayetteville to build two houses in one of Fayetteville’s newest upscale subdivisions.
Construction has begun on a 3,100-SF home in the Candlewood subdivision in east Fayetteville. Hoping to finish that one in December, Lazenby said construction will begin then on a 3,300-SF home in Candlewood.
The houses will sport three-car garages. One will have a very open living area and sits on an elevated lot near the entrance to Candlewood off Arkansas Highway 265. The other house will feature his and her baths.
Lazenby has multiple projects at the moment.
He is also building two houses and four condominiums on the new Valley View Golf Course near Farmington. The houses will range from 2,200 to 2,500 SF and are located on hole No. 9 at South Club House Drive. They will also sport three-car garages. They will be priced at about $225,000 each.
Lazenby is also finishing up three houses in the Barrington subdivision of Fayetteville. Those houses will be about 2,400 SF each, will sport three-car garages and have what Lazenby referred to as a separated master bedroom for total privacy from the rest of the house.
Other projects Lazenby has in the works include a 43-lot subdivision — Hunt Club — in Baldwin. Those homes will range in the $90,000 to $110,000 range. He has similar priced houses in the 43-lot David Lyle Addition off Arkansas Highway 16 in east Fayetteville. He is near completion on the 35-lot Hollybrook subdivision in Elkins. He is about halfway finished on nine houses in the Lincoln subdivision Pleasant Tree, where houses will range from $74,000 and up.
Lazenby is near completion on 27 houses in the Farmington subdivision Willow West. Construction will begin in the next month on another Farmington subdivision — Meadowlark IV.
And he just began construction on a 27-lot subdivision — Kristyl Heights IV in Bentonville. He has initially secured five loans totaling $312,000 from First Security Bank on Aug. 4 for that project. Houses there will range from $90,000 to $100,000. Kristyl Heights II has 20 houses under construction that will range from $90,000 to $120,000.
Lazenby is also busy with commercial property, having completed six of 14 metal warehouse buildings that are 10,200 SF each in Lowell. And he is near completion on Bentonville’s Commerce Center, which will house several vendors of Wal-Mart Stores Inc.
