Center Nursed Into Shape

Michael Morton, owner of Central Arkansas Nursing Homes Inc. of Fort Smith, is spending $3.5 million to completely refurbish that company’s Siloam Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at 811 W. Elgin St.

The project, financed with a July 2 loan from Bank of the Ozarks, includes replacing all of the 40,000-SF center’s furniture and mattresses, replacing worn Sheetrock, completely repainting the center and the addition of a whirlpool and probably the addition of a new entry way.

The center has added physical, occupational and speech therapy services and has also become certified to accept Medicare.
