Perry Butcher looked at the Internet from a different angle when he thought of the concept for his new business. Business-listing.com offers business owners a chance to get involved with the Internet without spending a lot of money on a web site.
Butcher’s concept gives businesses “web presence” by listing only the name and phone number of the company for $50 a year. By beginning with a smaller listing, rather than an extensive Internet site, businesses have the chance to see if their clientele respond to the web. More information can be added for additional fees, and businesses could go as far as to set up a virtual store front on the site.
Although most businesses are welcome to join the online directory, Butcher insists that the site will remain safe for children.
“This will be a safe-haven for children,” says Butcher, a father of four.
Butcher began his new business after spending five years in the graphic design field and four years with the Internet.
