Douglas Sperber, operating manager for NWA #1 LLC, got a $2.4 million loan Dec. 15 from Arkansas National Bank in Bentonville. The capital is being used to build a second addition to J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc.’s corporate compound alongside U.S. Highway 71 in Lowell.
The 20,000-SF facility will be used for additional office space and will sit directly west of a same-sized computer bunker that Bentonville Associates Ventures LLC — manager of NWA #1 LLC — just built for $3.5 million on J.B. Hunt Corporate Drive.
Construction on the latest addition was set to begin Jan. 24. Baldwin & Shell Construction Co. is the general contractor, and the estimated completion date is July.
