Wal-Mart Remodels Area Pharmacy, Sam’s

Wal-Mart is spending $674,840 to remodel two of its stores in Springdale.

Chance Construction Co. of Hemphill, Texas, was the contractor for the $125,000 addition of a loading canopy for the Sam’s Club at 2008 S. Thompson Ave. The 3,200-SF canopy allows customers to load their vehicles in an area shaded from the elements.

Chance, owned by Jay Chance, also did a $320,000 renovation of the 134,443-SF Sam’s Club’s interior. The renovations included a new pharmacy and vision center.

The Tontitown branch of Structural Systems Inc. of Fort Smith did the $229,840 remodeling of the 880-SF pharmacy in the Wal-Mart Supercenter at 2004 S. Pleasant St. Leo Anhalt is SSI’s president.
