DaySpring Cards Inc. of Siloam Springs was purchased July 21, by Hallmark Cards Inc.of Kansas City Mo.
DaySpring, a leader in Christian greeting cards, was previously owned by Cook Communications Ministries of Colorado Springs, Col., after being founded in 1971. Terms of the sale to Hallmark were not disclosed.
DaySpring products are sold to more than 10,000 retail outlets worldwide including 5,000 Christian bookstores, card and gift scores and mass merchants. The company’s product line includes more than 5,000 SKUs and marketing efforts are focused on three major brands including DaySpring Cards, Joyfully Yours and the Masterpiece Collection of fine art prints and sculptures.
DaySpring, which employs 400 people, will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Hallmark.
