Rogers Depot

Office Depot plans to construct a store at the intersection of Walnut Street and U.S. Highway 71 in Rogers.

We hear the deal has been signed with Lindsey & Associates for the land purchase, but no other information was available when we went to press on June 10.

Office Depot is the world’s largest seller of office products, operating a total of 779 stores throughout the United States, Canada, France and Japan.

For 1998, the company had $9 billion in sales, an 11 percent increase over $8.1 billion in 1997. Office Depot’s comparable store sales increased by 2 percent in the first quarter of 1999.
