Cumulus Pulls Sports Talk from KKEG

Cumulus Media Inc., which purchased KKEG-FM and two other Fayetteville radio stations last year from Demaree Media Inc., has pulled Sports Talk from the KEG.
For about 20 years, Sports Talk aired on KKEG from 5-6:30 p.m. on Mondays. The sports talk show will continue to air on KFAY-AM, which is also owned by Cumulus, from 4-6 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays.
Mark Morgan, program director for KKEG, says Cumulus didn’t think Sports Talk fit with the format of KKEG, which is a rock music station.
