Richard Alexander and Robert Merry-Ship bought the old Pyatt Building at 205 N. College Ave. for $360,000 through their North College Development Co.

Alexander and Merry-Ship purchased the 8,500-SF property Dec. 15 from Larry and Debbie Tuttle, John W. and Nora Vinzant and Patricia R. and Craig Brown.

A complete refurbishing and expansion, including a new facade and more office space for tenants, is planned. The Morning News of Northwest Arkansas’ Fayetteville bureau and the Renner & Company Inc. insurance agency plan to stay at the location after renovation is completed.

Additional prospective tenants include an architectural firm, medical testing lab and mortgage company.

North College Development recently remodeled Cooper House at 11 N. West Ave. Alexander’s law firm will move there at the end of this month. The company recently started a third project, valued at $220,000.

It’s refurbishing a 2,800-SF building at 9 West Ave. in Fayetteville to be used as an office complex. Space there will rent for $12 per SF.n
