Southwestern Bell Appoints Fayetteville Spokesman

Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. apparently believes Fayetteville is now big enough to have a spokesman of its own. Bobby Ferrell, a Fayetteville native who is well known in the community, has moved back home from Fort Smith, where he spent the last few years covering a Bell territory that included Fort Smith and Fayetteville. Now, Bell has split the region and named Ferrell director of external affairs for the Fayetteville area. Meriam Benson remains external affairs director of the Rogers-Springdale region.
